    New Here - ? about RMB-1075

Man, I just stumble across this board just yesterday and been reading old message about the RMB-1075. I'm just a beginner to the AV stuff but the rotel product lines is giving me the upgrade itch and all your great comment is putting me on edge to pulling the trigger. I'm in the process of building my HT in the new house when i move in next month and I'm going to go with the Polk Lsi9, LsiC and Lc60i speakers (already on order, I love the sound of these speakers). I currently have the old denon 1803 pre and wondering if i can just add the rotel amp and run the Lsi speakers because they are 4 ohms. And a few months down the road, I was planning to get the H/K avr435 but the rotel RSP-1098 is so tempting .... i don't know how i can that pass the wife. I'm planning to stop by a local audio shop to check out the amp. Am I on the right path to becoming a rotelian ?

The 1075 is a fine piece of work, and looks quite nice to boot. As Andrew had said long ago power amps are timeless. Pre's/Pro's change as technology does but a hefty power amp could stick around for years, and you would be hard pressed to find better bang for the buck with the 1075. This is a good place to be, much knowledge and experience to be had, wich can be comforting when your'e spending some descent money on these goodies. Welcome aboard and enjoy, Bob

Absolutely! Until recently I ran the 1075 for everything except the rear channels in my 7.1 setup. I recently purchased a 1080 to drive FL & FR and now use the 1075 for everything else. This is a rather common configuration around here, so I am sure it works well with a variety of speakers. Per Rotel's specs the 1075 pushes 200wpc @4 ohms. This should be plenty for most speakers in most rooms. Good luck!

Thanks, there is certainly alot of info for me to research on. Would I be better off getting rsx-1056 and the rb-1080? Can the 1056 run 4 ohms speaker? If the 1056 can't do 4 ohms than I'll have to go 1056 and 1075.

Welcome...dont know what your listening habits are but if primary for HT, you should be fine with the 1075. I run LSi 15 and I found that 1075 was NOT enough...so I had to switch to 1080...but I listen to alot of music. LSi 9s dont have the large woofer so I would bet the 1075 or 1056 would do fine.....yes you are right....the LSis sound awesome.

            RMB1075 Vs RMB1095
            by Dmantis
I'm going Rotel soon and I'm wondering if anyone has done side by side 1075 vs the 1095?

            I'm leaning towards the 1095. I'm gonna be running Dynaudio Audience 82's , 122 center , 42W rears. I have Polk Lsi 15 , LsiC and Lsi/Fx currently.

I have heard the Audience 72's...

Stick to RSX1065 or go to 1055/1075 separates?
            by BleakShore
I guess I'd like to hear/learn advices/experiences from those who have gone this route.

That is, stick with the RSX1066, or exchange it for the RSX1055/RMB1075 combo? I bought it from Myer-Emco so I can do the exchange with no penalty.

            The reason I'm contemplating this...

It's on the front page of Europe's Rotel web site, the Rsp-1066/Rmb-1075 combo won a comparative test on What Hi-Fi review.
Opponents were TAG, Myryad, Arcam, Cyrus, Primare, Marantz

These brands may not be well known in North America but here, in Europe, they are usualy considered...
