1066/1075 : Supertest winner

It's on the front page of Europe's Rotel web site, the Rsp-1066/Rmb-1075 combo won a comparative test on What Hi-Fi review.
Opponents were TAG, Myryad, Arcam, Cyrus, Primare, Marantz

These brands may not be well known in North America but here, in Europe, they are usualy considered very good

Very interesting article!

I am looking at upgrading my HT electronics and have busy been searching for Rotel reviews (RSP-1066, RMB-1075, RMB-1095). I have found reviews at www.rotel.com, europe.rotel.com, ecoustics.com. This one is obviously hot off the press since I had not seen it previously.

I have been procrastinating making a purchasing decision, however this review may finally push me to action.

That was very much the sensational read. Somehow, it affects my mood in a very nice way to read good reviews of Rotel products, as well as others I own (which includes Arcam). Of course, if I read a bad review, I just go into denial.

Ricky, if you read this, I want to say that, even if the Outlaw 950 doesn't best pre-pros costing three times as much, the Rotel obviously destroys pre-pros costing $5,000,000, 000,000 or more. But, as I'm a very giving type person, I'll allow you the opportunity to trade that Aragon of yours for my Rotel...you pay shipping though.

I am not shocked at all about this (NOT). Better than TAG, so what would be the 1098/1075 combo then?

I'm not sure they were saying that the Rotel is better than the systems by Arcam and Tag, but that, for the money, it's in the same ballpark as the better of the pre-pro/amp combos that were in the shootout. Given that most of the gear was significantly more expensive, Rotel gets the nod. At least, that's my interpretation.

Yep. Tag and Arcam had better performance but Rotel won on value (cost/performance).
