    RR-969 problem

I did something dumb and hope somebody out there can help:

I accidently recorded a command for my cable box on the volume up button of the 969. Now, when the device selection on the 969 is "cable", the volume up button does not raise the volume of the Rotel 1055.

The volume down button works fine, and when any other device button is selected, the volume up button still controls the volume of the Rotel 1055.

Is there anything I can do to reset the volume up button to control the 1055 volume, short of resetting the 969 and reprogramming all my codes?

    Thanks in advance...

Just push the CLEAR button (its under the sliding cover) with the tip of a ball point pen and then press the VOL UP button. This will clear the command in the VOL UP button.

Well, that cleared the old command, but it doesn't reset it to control the audio up on the Rotel when the device is "cable". It says empty. How do I teach it to raise the volume of the Rotel when set to cable.

Is there are way to copy the VOL UP command from the "aud" device to "cable"?

Other than borrowing another RR969 and "learning" the VOL UP command from the borrowed device I know of no other way. Thats what I had to do to get my RR1050 (upgrade from the RR969) to learn the Rotel VOL commands when in cable or dvd mode. Does your dealer have a remote he would let you use for this purpose?

Some Mute and Volume questions about the RSX-1055
          by lhl12
          1) Is there a way to set the unit so that after pressing Mute, it will un-Mute on either a Vol + or Vol - command? From doing a search I see that the 1065's firmware has been updated to allow this. What about the 1055?

          2) Can the Mute status be queried via RS-232?

          3) Can...

          Out of Control Volume
          by Whozit
I've had my 1066/1075 combo for about 8 months and have had no complaints. Software rev is a couple of generations behind (2.2.2) but if it ain't broke...I have had none of the popping or delay issues that I've seen discussed on the forum, so I've been quite satisfied.

          So today I watch...

          Rotel remote (RR-969) going bad?
          by rotel&energy
I've had the RR-969 since I purchased my 1055 almost 4 years ago. I use it for the receiver, cd player, dvd player, and TV. Recently, I lost the "down" or "back" button portion of the Channel (CH) button. Batteries are fine. I can go up through TV channels, but not down. Everything...

          Volume Knob fault on 1067
          by Robo1067
          Hi all,
I think my 1067 has developed a strange fault and wonder if any of you have heard of it and know of a simple fix prior to me returning it to the Service Agents.
What happens is when-ever I attempt to adjust the volume via the front panel knob, for vol up, it goes up only one level...

          Hi,

I finally got my 1066 back from rotel. They did the full upgrade free since I got the unit demo and it had very old firmware. I must say I am impressed with the sound coupled with a 985 series one amp.

However, I have one problem. It strike me as strange that the remote
