    Ref 30 & AVR305/7 Upgrade Available!

B&K finally has the upgrades for these units to bring them to Ref 50/507 specs. Cost is $498.00 and includes the new faceplate (not currently available but included). Does not include the new remote.

I was beginning to wonder if they would ever get around to doing it.

What would be the best way to arrange for the upgrade? Contact B&K directly (phone)? Or try to find a local dealer?

    Thanks,

    John

Luv B&K, but I have not heard a good word about their support...Thus signifying the importance of a good dealer.

I was wondering if there is any type of upgrade for the Ref20?

        Thanks,
        Dalton

            Newbie Ref 30 upgrade question
            by Dan
I'm new to the site. I have a two year old Ref 30 and a 7250 amp. I do not plan to go beyond 5 channel in the foreseeable future. Is it worth it to upgrade to a Ref 31 (the ref 50 software in the same hardware)? Your honest input is appreciated.

            Reference 20 upgrade
            by jtodd
I was on the phone to B&K today about the Ref 20 upgrades. I asked about what the upgrade would give me. The response was every thing that the Ref 30 has except firewire (ie 1394) and component switching. This seems great until I asked the price. Which appears to be set at $899.

            Ok Guy's,
The zip tie thread somehow got me second guessing my decision in a new Pre/Pro.
I was dead set on getting the Ref 30, using extra money toward a new amp. My current amp is definately a bit lacking. It's a HK Pa5800. I bought back when they were beeing closed out. My intensions...

I want to upgrade my surround receiver, I'm currently using a Denon AVR-2803 with B&W DM602 S3 fronts, and a B&W LCR60 S3 center channel and my old Celestion S3 bookshelfs for the rear channels.

Which receiver delivers better sound quality in both 5.1 and 2-channel?

            NuForce Ref 9's
            by gostan
After demoing various amplifiers over the past year, I made the decision to upgrade to the NuForce Ref 9's, which were delivered this past Friday. I thought that I would post my initial impressions as this product is rather new and has been the subject of some interesting responses on the two existing...
