Thanks for the links! I took the liberty of hot linking them for folks. That MC-8 looks tempting. Can't wait to hear what the trade program is...

I got to play with the MC-8. Just based on looks it's a easier sale that the MC12. Its sounds about the same as the MC12 on LX 7 power amp with Thiel Powerpoints. The DTS 96/24 logo is clearly on the front panel and yes it works.
Trade program? YES and it's has already started! I can't give you many details. Just if you own a MC1/DC1/DC2 you can get a good trade up deal.
The RT10 has not shipped yet for my area.
Anyone know what this is? - > D1/D2: 14-pin D connector- Bottom

I received notice from someone at Lexicon last week that the trade program had not started yet. Yes, I think it's for sale, but the trade program comes after the initial new product push, only a few weeks I think. At least that's the way it looks.

RT10 Finally came.
It's basicly a Pio... DV47AI transport with lots and lots of upgrades.
Power Supply, Video section, Audio section all upgrade. Think a BMW M3 vs a BMW 325. It's heavy for a DVDA/SACD player. I had to make sure DTS and Progressive scan was turned on. Sound, video, design, and build are great. The CD playback, hmm, pretty good.
Basic store display setup used:
Lexicon MC-8
Lexicon RT10 ( Analog 5.1, Digital Coax, Compent video)
Lexicon LX-7
Theil Power Points
B&W ASW4000 currently
Marantz VP-12S2

I saw the RT-10, though I didn't get to play it. Nice drawer action though. Based on looks a 9.9. (That is, given that I would really prefer black components, but now my MC-12 is silver, so now silver makes sense for the RT-10, if I ever get one, so at least 2 of my components match up. But I won't be converting to 100% silver, no way.

The RT-10 is more like a Pioneer DV47A (no I). It would be really cool if it did have the firewire output, but unfortunately it doesn't.

Yes, that I is for firewire/I.link(sony), but It does have d1/d2 digital ports on the back for future upgraded outputs. Could be ready for firewire or DVI via some mod wire or outboard addon. I just guessing on what they are for. Maybe there will be a card for the MC8/12 to take a direct digital signal from d1/d2.- Bottom

by DeanoHey guys,
I have just about made a decision. I wanted the Bryston 1.7 then the Halo C2, but I think I am going to get the Lexicon MC8. I don't really know what I am doing!!!!! Some feed back would be great as I am about to take the plunge!-

by AsahikaseiPeople always assume that high end high priced audio will be superior in every aspect to your standard receiver, this can be true when dealing with analog 2CH setups but in home theater it is not. by LexI've had my MC-12 a long time, true. I decided I'd check to see if there were firmware updates, that may fix any problems, or get me additional features such as newest sound formats, etc, you know true dolby, etc..whatever's current... The V 5.0 update, costs 1000.00 and involves hardware. Say what?...09 January 2007, 09:49 Tuesday -
by wandersoThe 1098 is looking mighty attractive to me these days...
Anyone out there think we could convince Rotel to follow Lexicon and Bryston's (and many others) example and offer a trade in on the new 1098...
No more bass management issues.
Anyone care to comment...-
