For almost a year, the Integra Research site had only the original owner guide/manual available online, despite having had two upgrades in that time with additional instructions required for full use of them. Now if you open or download the Acrobat-format RDC-7 manual, the 16 page upgrade manual is included after the pages of the original manual. Some of the functions have changed, and some controls (such as the "Audio" button) which had no function before are operational now, so it is very useful to have this additional reference material available.
The second upgrade duplicated everything that was in the first upgrade (DTS-ES Discrete, Dolby Pro Logic II and Neo 6 software upgrades) and added a number of addtional features and functions, including bringing the unit up to THX Ultra 2 standards. The supplemental upgrade pages cover all of these upgraded items.
While it might seem like it would be slicker for them to have simply folded the new instructions into the original manual, there are a lot of owners who did not take advantage of the upgrades, so this is one way they can accomodate all the owners with the relevant instructions.
