RDC 7.1 upgrade..and changed policy..??

With some serious suprise... I can see that Integra research actually have release a FW upgrade to the RDC7.1 publicly available on their homepage,,

Just download and run it..???,,

I never thought I'd see the day were this actually would happen,
even if they said it was possible with the RDC7 also, it never showed up,
allways the same " ship the unit" wait a week or 2...,,

But,, it's there...it really is,, pity I dont have a RDC 7.1 then...

Hi Emerson,

Integra do try to listen to customers and this is now beginning to show. Support has greatly improved since I got my unit in Janurary and they have fixed pretty much all known bugs and are even beginning to add things here and there. There is a good selection of new modules due later in the year, the sound quality is lovely and I now feel fairly secure that they will support this unit properly. Maybe you should have an RDC-7.1 :W

Maybe Integra Research should finally deliver on their "future proof" promise to RDC-7 owners and give them an equivalently-featured RDC-7.1 in trade for their old units.

Where are the lawyers when you need them?

Surely there are some RDC-7 owners who are lawyers out there! Isn't this what you became a lawyer for, to sue companies that renege on their published promises? It's funny, I just bought a DVD player from a local dealer who sells Lexicon and Anthem. Of course he was trying to get me to upgrade to one of his brands, but he kept saying "you can't trust a Japanese audio company." Maybe he was right.

2. Integra seems to have removed the download link for the firmware..??,,,
