    Integra Dtr 7.1 - Phono Hum Problem

    I recently purchased a turntable and connected it to the phono jack on my integra dtr 7.1. I noticed a couple of things:

    1 the signal didn't split to my subwoofer so I only receive signal to the 2 front satellite speakers. Is this normal? I have configured the system to include the subwoofer. Since I am running small satellites I am losing anything less than 95 hz

    2 there is a terrible hum if I run the turntable in 2 channel stereo mode. I I hit the direct button the hum goes away?


    Can I plug into the Multi-channel input and utilize the subwoofer? Can I plug into one of the other inputs (video 2, video 3 - audio only of course, tape etc) and utilize the subwoofer?

    Is it normal for the phono input to bypass the subwoofer altogether?

      I have a 9.1 but using the phono input is imposable due to the hum.
      I don’t think it is a ground loop as I have:
      Disconnected everything but the phono input
      Turned off all other power in the house except the power circuit for the Hi Fi
      Used an MIT Z-Isolator for the power...

      I just got an RC-1070 today, and hooked it up to my Music Hall mmf-2.1 only to hear a very bad hum... I verified the ground connection, and all seemed fine. I got the RC-1070 to replace an old sony STR-AV460, which oddly enough did not hum at all...

      Any suggestions? It is very noticeable...

      I recently purchased an Integra DTR 40.1 receiver to replace my older Onkyo receiver. Before the Integra I had a TX-DS 939 and before that a TX-DS 747. The Integra is a great leap forward and sounds great.

      there r difference between onkyo tx-nr1000 and integra dtr-10.5? i mean there are features difference or are really the same?
