    RC-1070 Phono hum...

    I just got an RC-1070 today, and hooked it up to my Music Hall mmf-2.1 only to hear a very bad hum... I verified the ground connection, and all seemed fine. I got the RC-1070 to replace an old sony STR-AV460, which oddly enough did not hum at all...

    Any suggestions? It is very noticeable through my headphones.

      ....I had that problem......it was my RCA connectors....they were capoutto.....

      huge hum.....
      Got a nice rack to show me ?

          I have a 9.1 but using the phono input is imposable due to the hum.
          I don’t think it is a ground loop as I have:
          Disconnected everything but the phono input
          Turned off all other power in the house except the power circuit for the Hi Fi
          Used an MIT Z-Isolator for the power...
