I am looking at a used Reference 4430. Can anyone tell me if this is a good amp? And what would be a good price for this amp? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Cuda,
I went looking around a bit and found the #4430 was made in 98' and put's out 200x3 watts. May have sold new for 1700.00 and now used for 800.00 (this info may or may not be accurate)
Once I had a chance to pick up some older B-K mono-blocks one time for a really decent price, they would have been interesting to play around with. ;b>......Pat- Bottom

That happens :Z
Our local dealer sells B&K and Krell so that is all I have to see in person.
I have made a couple small purchases at Audiogon with good luck. Seems you get so much more for the $ buying used but the shipping is more costly with the weight of amps.......Pat- Bottom

by scarpiI'm having a dedicated electrical line installed soon for my B&K Reference 200.5 amp. Should I have the electrician install a 20 amp line or just a 15 amp line? Is this amp designed to work on a 20 amp line? If so, why does it have a regular 15 amp plug? The owners manual states it is important...-

by ajpoeI've got the upgrade bug... I currently have an Onkyo TX-SR800 running my Paradigm system. I have Studio 60s v3 for fronts, CC-470 and ADP-470s for surrounds. I am looking at the Rotel vs. the B&K and my local dealer said that for the extra $300 MSRP the B&K was a no brainer. I also know some...-

by ajpoeI see that there isn't much activity here so I thought I'd throw this out there and see if may be some different readers have some opinions to offer. I posted a similar thread on the general HT forum prior to doing as much research. I've read in previous posts about the issues with the popping and clicking.... - Loading...
