    Parasound shutdown. Oh No

My beloved Parasound shuts down after an hour of use.
Its not heat. Im in UK.
    Parasound support is excellent.
They suspect a faulty power supply.

    Im on active speakers.

I accept the parasound diagnosis of this fault, but what else could cause a problem with a processor??

Hmmm... those are the two reasons that come to mind for me--power source and excessive heat. If you're sure it's not due to heat, then I would just let Parasound take care of the power source!

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

I think it may be a heat thing but not a normal one.

When it first started shutting down, I removed and reinserted only the front 3 speakers, it shut down.
I swapped the fron cables, next day it went for 4 hours fine, then shut down.
Next day on three speakers only it didnt shut down at all.

Plugged in 2 side speakers, it shut down within 10 minutes.

      Swapped speakers for different pair.
      shut down again.

Back to 3 only on the front and it goes another hour.

      Less speakers = longer runtime?
Swapping speakers and or cables makes no difference.

I was worried at some point I had a faulty balanced cable or active speaker,
The cables are balanced, with XLR connectors and Mackie 624 actives.

Mains is RFI and spike protected.

I guess I will pray for better luck with replacement C2.

I am paranoid it is another component in my system causing this, but that looks unlikely now????

      Update:.
Tonight I came home turned on and its a non starter? I was surprised at this, considering it was working (well as above)
With nothing at all plugged in tonight it shut down.
Oh well lets wait on the replacement.
