    Zone 2 question

I have not set up a 2nd Zone yet but will in the future. Does the C2 have remain on to listen to Zone 2. i.e. Zone 2 always kept on CD input, do I have to switch the C2 back on to listen to Zone 2 CD therefore amp automatically turns on but not used if no music in Zone 1. Not sure if this is clear or not.

    Thanks

Jon, there's certainly no harm in trying it out to see what results you get. I think what you'll find, though, is that YES, the C2 needs to be powered on in order to pass a signal to Zone 2. Otherwise, I don't think it would be able to choose and route which signal you want to be output to Zone 2. Shouldn't be a big deal to have it on, though!

I think you're saying that you have your power trigger set up to turn on your amp when the C2 turns on. That can be changed!

I run my TST off my fronts now. I just have it split off with Y adaptors and the signal goes to my Audiosource monoblock which I have to turn on or off manually when I want to use it. These amps have either a manual turn on, or auto turn on when a signal is present. I'd like to be able to use the TST...

      1098 and zone2 via IR

      Hi,

I'm still having issues with my Zone 2. My setup has the 1098 and source equipment at the back of the front room, I use a xantech IR relay network to connect them all to an IR receiver at the front of the front room. The same IR network also connects to the other rooms in the house....

I am considering running my Airport Express wireless music piece into an open audio input on my 1068 and using the Zone 2 option to send it elsewhere in the house. Is there any harm in keeping Zone 2 on all the time so as to be able to feed other rooms? Or is there a overheating issue?

Ok, i'm about at wits end here.
To simpify what im doing, I'll only refer to three components.
      1) The zone 2, which is just a CRT tv with composite video and simple two channel stereo... basicly, its just a tv. I'm not using Coax to feed it any signal, just the composite video and sterio...

      RSX-1055 and zone 2 question
      by srinathalapati
      Folks,

I own a RSX-1055 and I am planning to buy an amplifier (Audio Source AMP100) to power outdoor speakers. I was reading the RSX-1055 manual about zone 2 operation and it confused me a bit. I am looking for some clarification from the experts here. On page 25 in the manual it says:...
