Power surge, bad internal connection at power supply (reseat connectors), or bad power supply...

Thanks for getting back to me guys, nothing else shut down only my Preamp and that is connected in the same wireworld strip as my cd and power supply. I dont believe that it was a surge or the CD would have went down as Cyrus is senstive. Sorry to ask any other ideas?

              To Much Power
              by Mike_Schmidt
So I dumped my Pre Cyrus and Power amps for Parasounds JC2 and A21 power running into a set of Proac D28's. My room is small for the time being 10.5x12 I have french doors I open behind me which really helps and I do not hear much for reflection or boom for that matter. I have 10' ceilings so that...

How do I know if I need power conditioning?
              by tboooe
In my eternal quest to reach musical nirvana I have now turned my attention to power conditioning and power cables. I understand the improvements that may be gained by power cables may be subjective so I will avoid talking about that topic here. What I am curious about is how I know if getting a power...

              Oh, Oh, Power outtage
              by George Bellefontaine
Well, after 9 years of using my UPS with my two projectors, I finally saw the ol' UPS in action. A nearby lightning strike causeds a major power outtage in my area. I was near the end of a movie when I lost picture and sound ( my receiver and players are only on surge suppressors ) but the PJ was still...

              Help
              by Mike_Schmidt
Just brought home my new A21 and JC2. While burning in do I leave all components on while burning in and if I shut it off the power amp manually is that going to hurt it turning it on and off. I thought once its on you leave them powered up and dont touch.
