Now that Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are alive and well...

...when is Parasound going to release a receiver that accepts uncompressed 5.1 PCM over HDMI 1.3? What about DD TrueHD and DTS-HD MA? I originally posted about this nearly 11 months ago and we've seen nothing from Parasound that indicates they will support these new formats.

I would still LOVE to see a C1-like receiver that includes HDMI 1.3, Component Inputs and Outputs, Balanced Speaker Outs, support for PCM, DD True-HD and DTS-HD MA.

Yes...,and why not a hardware-update for the C2/C1 (if this is possible)

This morning Microsoft and Intel said they would support Toshiba's HDDVD. Sounds familiar to the Betamax war two decades ago...

RSP 1069 and no 7.1 pcm
      by hurin
      I have a 6.0 speaker setup with an RSP 1069 and a panasonic BD60.

If I set sound to pcm on the player I can only get a 5.1 signal. There is no sound coming from my back channel and the 'Sb' light on the display does not light up.
Now this happens even when I tried playing a Blu-Ray...

      by TORC
I'm new here as well as to decent audio in general and am looking for some help. I've read the various manuals (a number of times now), tried different settings and have searched but still can't get my sub working reliably when playing PCM 2-channel music through my RSP-1570.

      I'm playing...
