So, I just bought a new house and will have a dedicated audio/HT room for the first time (once I do some work in the basement).
2 channel audio is by far my first priority, but I plan on installing a real HT room for movies.
I like the flexibility of using my own DAC. I don't think I'll be very interested in using the DAC inside a pre/pro.
How does the 2-channel direct analog in of the C1/C2 compare to that of the P3?
Does that feature accomplish the same thing the direct input on the P3 does? (i.e., defeating the tone controls and all other circuitry other than the volume knob and the line stage)
Also, anybody know anything about the two channel ability of the 7100?
I'll probably be comparing the C2 to the Bryston SP2, B&K 50s, and offerings from Arcam.

. The C2 delivers more detail and it has a lot more control over the bass
