    WOOOOOHOOOOOO, finally the 2250!!

That is great news on the NewClassic 2250. I've been waiting for what seems to be forever. I originally ordered through Brent Huskins but does anyone know if he is still in business? My last couple of emails to him over the past few months went unanswered which was in direct contrast to when I initially purchased my 7100 and 5250 from him. If he isn't, does anyone else know of a good Parasound dealer around? Thanks in advance, Matt.

I just purchased a C2 from Anthony Perrotta of Perrotta Consulting in Bethel, CT. He easily matched Brent's price when I told him what I'd been quoted elsewhere. I think his exact words were "Oh, of course" when I asked if he could match the price, heh. Maybe I could have gotten a better deal...

Anyway, yeah, he spent a lot of time going back and forth with me via e-mail in getting my purchase set up. Very helpful. I'd recommend him. He also has a ton of positive feedbacks on AudioGon (username Percon).

I really hope the D3 has no layer change lag. I'm looking for a new multi-format player, but I refuse to buy anything that has a layer change pause. When I'm watching a movie, and the sound and video stops for a second or two, it totally brings the whole "immersive experience" to a grinding halt. I'm reminded, oh, it's just a movie, and I'm just sitting here at home watching it".

My only other alternative at the moment seems to be getting my Denon DVD 2900 modded to extend its "life" in my system.

I'm still here as the primary sponsor for HTGuide.

            CP-Mike - Nothing like being shopped :B :B

Me and Physdoc had an email problem and that got resolved today...plus being at CES doesn't help...no time for forum talk.

Physdoc - Thanks for being loyal, I appreciate the business.

Brent, no offense man, but you didn't reply to a few of my e-mails back in November / early December. I'll make it up to you by buying a D3 from you if they're any good.

If it's against forum rules to do what I did, mods, by all means delete my post.

It's not against forum rules to refer to businesses to source products. However, there is a fine line, and I wouldn't allow anyone who does obvious (or subversive) advertising for a company that does not choose to contribute to the expenses of sustaining this discussion forum.

Offering suggestions to other members about places to buy products is usually best done via private messages or E-mail.

Of course, we have to favor those companies that do keep this forum going when discussing retailers and distributors. Other than that, I do try to allow freedom in discussion.

Still willing to do a D3 Special...

They should ship at the end of Februrary.

I think what I will do is start a thread in a day or two that lets people post in the thread that want in on it and I'll PM them the price once they post. That way I keep Parasound happy.

Is there anywhere besides this thread where one can find out more about what features, etc the D3 is supposed to have? Owner's manual perhaps?

Ooh, sounds yummy. Don't think I'd have the stones to pre-order one though. Gotta wait and see what others think, and most importantly, to see if it has a layer change pause....

Yes, evidently the D3 is manufactured in China... Most Parsound amps, including the JC1, are made in Taiwan. That's why they can offer such exceptional value...

I thought all the Halo products were from Finland. I guess it's just the Titans.
It won't stop me from getting one if the reviews are good. I want a good Universal Player and to have a matching Halo one is a no-brainer.

Correct, and I would not be so sure that they assemble the C1/C2 in Finland. However, since most of the circuit boards inside the C1/C2 are made in Finland, they can label the units "Made in Finland" even if the final assembly happens somewhere else. This may actually be the case with the D3 too...

Brent, you may want to post information about an offer to do a D3 "special buy" upon product release. There may be some interest here in the Club!

I think what I will do is start a thread in a day or two that lets people post in the thread that want in on it and I'll PM them the price once they post. That way I keep Parasound happy.
