Subwoofer comes on in Stereo ?? Not wanted

I don't know why but when I select Stereo the Subwoofer comes on with some CD's. Is there a way to not have it come on. I just want pure 2 channel stereo

I don't have the Halo but I suspect that if you go into the bass management section you can turn off a feature that sends an "extra" bass signal to the subwoofer in addition to speakers set as large. I think in the Halo its called Ebass and should be turned off if you don't like the feature. But really someone with a Halo should chime in and confirm. I only felt the need to chime in since I had the same issue at one time on my processor.

      Figured out

I had 2 digital coax cables fromthe same source to the HALO C1. One had Ebass on and the other Ebass off ? ONe was for DVD 5.1 and the other PCM. However something got confused inthe Halo and the signals coming from the same source 2 different ways. Anyhow its complicated, but it was the EBASS on one affected the other.

That's good news. I know how something like that can be frustrating and wastes lots of time -- although on the bright side it's troubleshooting like that where you become an expert (and at one) with your component.

Uh... so did this get fixed, Mr. Doggy? Do you have all your speakers set to "small" or "large"?

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

            Chris,

All my speakers are set to large 802D's, 804S', HTM2D ? It only had to do with the transport having 2 individual digital lines coming into the c1, one for pcm output and one for DVd output. The c1 recognized the signal as it it was from one component and applied the ebass to either even though it was on only one.

I hpe that makes sense. Anyhow no EBASS everything COOL !!
