lips moving slower than the sound C1

The lips are moving slower than the sound with my C1. Does anyone know how to correct this ? They might be moving faster, but its hard to tell. Its just a fraction, enough to notice if you are looking.

where's the lip sync feature ? Also I don't think its with everything, maybe just with the satellite TV and not DVD.

        Is there no other way

I just read about lipsync on parasound. It seems I don't have it. I would have to install it. I don't have the rs232 cable and it seems you have to have the right one or you can damage something in the halo. They recommend Radio Shack or someone elses rs232 cables. Is there no other way ? I'm surprised my halo didn't have the upgrade as I bought it only a few months ago. This is a bummer as I really didn't want to fool around with upgrades as it can be risky business.

There's a "sticky" thread, 2nd from the top of the main page, that describes how to properly install the new software update issued from Parasound a few months ago. Among the updates are the lip-sync feature, and Dolby ProLogic IIx...which alone is well worth the painstaking process.

The thread is long-winded, but if you get through it, you should have a good idea on how to do it. You need the RS-232 cable, as you mentioned, along with a compatible PC or laptop. If you have a newer-model computer, you may need to also purchase a RS-232-to-USB adapter.

Again, if you take your time and follow the update steps, you won't mess anything up. However, if you're not so proficient with a computer, or would rather a professional install it, I think Parasound offers the installation service. You'd have to pay for shipping and their time though, naturally.

I'm a wiz with Mac, and I bought a small Dell laptop for this kind of thing and should be able to figure it out. I noticed they say use only 2 types of cables either radio shack or cablemax. Now I have to track them down as it needs 230kbps speed or it can screw things up. Its not noticeable on anything other than the satellite. I will have to track the cable down. Thanks for the heads up.

FWIW, it's not part of the standard accessories.

I actually have the possibility to use rs232 to rs232 so I've ordered the cable. I hope I can figure out pc. I've downloaded all the files and extracted them. the only one that looks like I don't know what it does is the g6_680.hex ,but I guess that has to do with something inside the parasound when its hooked up as nothing that came with the package seems to run it.

                        RSP 1066 Slower after v2.26
                        by aero993
I recently upgraded the firmware of my RSP 1066. Is it me, or is the response time slower when switching sources?
