    mx 700 Remote problem

    Hello,

I can't seem to program the mx700 with a new device (from the IR database) e.g. a Sony dvd dvp500,
it gives me an error "The system cannot find the file specified" when im trying to save. :M
I did the "Live update" so it has the latest version, etc.

    Need some help please :P

    Winxp

    tnx. :

Have you tried "Learning" the new device to the MX-700?

Hey, Luke, that's one that I've never come across. That happens when you try to program ANY new device? And when you say "try to save", are you referring to saving the device, I assume, and not the whole configuration file?

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

            http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin...aster/list.cgi

            They did

I installed the mx editor software from that site and it works fine now,
then i imported my old "parasound".mxf and was able to add devices etc.
it even has a lot larger device database.

              LuckyLuke,

It's the best site I've found on the web to help out with remote issues as well as other home theater issues. Of course, this site is my favorite with remote central and www.audioholics.com being my second favorites.

We'll see if anybody gets any use out of this. I've attached several files in zip format for our club members here. Just click on the attached files at the end of the post if you'd like any of them. I figured that there might be someone that could find a file or two useful, perhaps to either set...

Have a question re: the MX-Editor software. The Parasound...

In Windows XP there's a file called SYSTEM in the %SYSTEMROOT%SYSTEM32CONFIG directory. On my system it was about 3.5 MB. Apparently it is quite essential to Windows XP operations. WinXP kept booting up saying it was corrupt and that I should repair it with my WinXP disk....

I have a calibrated mic, it came with a file. When I display the calibration file in SE it is only going up past 200 hz. I opened the cal file and took out the decimels in the first column but it didn't change anything in the way it displayed.
