I have B&W 703's and matching cc/surround speakers on the way. Other than rotel, what amps would you all recommend? Have many used outlaw amps?

Hi,
What country are you in? Prices vary so much round the world...
Other than Rotel, I have heard and liked:
> Classe
> Krell
> Parasound
> Accuphase
We also have members who swear by:
> Byston
> Anthem
> Mark Levinson (very expensive)
You may want to try a post in the Audio Hideout and Home Theater forums of HTGuide as there are many knowledgable people there of good amps who may not visit Club B&W.

I'm in the US. Thanks for the input. I have rephrased my question a little in another forum. My thought originally was to go with outlaw amps as i am trying to adhere to a budget. (I am failing miserably with that, but at least the WAF is increasing!! )- Bottom

I personally like Crown and QSC. For the money it is hard to find cleaner, lower noise, more reliable, and more powerful amplifiers.
The CE series from Crown is a good value that is also THX certified.
If you want the REALLY good Crown stuff, I recommend the Studio Reference Series.
Crown is sold at Parts Express as well as other quality resellers.Last edited by biomed_eng_2000; 29 July 2004, 22:15 Thursday.- Bottom

Which is better though, a Parasound PRE/AMP or a Bryston PRE/AMP? I've research about Bryston for a while and they are pretty expensive. Nice thing though they arrive already 'broken in".- Bottom
