B&W M1 speakers- Dolby Atmos setup- front and rear heights

    Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone in this forum uses the B&W M1 speakers and uses them strictly as front height and rear height speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X codecs? If so, I would love to hear your experiences as how you enjoy the sound this way. I know in ceiling would be ideal but unfortunately I am unable to install overhead cause I rent my unit. Best I can do is front height and rear height.

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

If you haven't heard about this one yet in the HT community, stop and pay attention.

The film itself is a check-your-brain-at-the-door, guys' night out, shoot 'em up action film. Keanu Reeves actually does a very decent job as the title character super killer, maybe the most convincing...

From a news release I just saw of the first receiver, (Onkyo) with the new Dolby Pro Logic IIz technology that extracts to 9.1 channels. I chased down this technology report on the Dolby website. Very interesting.
I'm surprised that I hadn't heard of this before! My thoughts in another post...

      Dolby Atmos ??

      Hi

The obvious question after the announcement of Dolby Atmos in the consumer space is if there are any plans to implement a software update to the SSP-800 to allow for Atmos processing. According to some of the other manufacturers press releases there will be units that will allow for...

5.2.2 rear on wall height OR 7.2 on wall rear surrounds?[emoji2962]
      by simple_audio303
Guess I'll start with my setup so far and what I plan to do. So far I have a pair of RP6000F's run by a Denon X3500H(7.2 / 5.2.2). I ran audyssey XT32 room calibration. Kept the XT32 room Eq. But disabled the dynamic stuff, dont really need volume control. I planned on getting pair or rp500m for surround...
