    B&w 604 s3

    Hi All,

    I would like some feedback with regards to this model. I owned a pair of 603S2 which I loved but lacked certain lower octave fundamentals.

    I`m currently using a pair of 602S2 which I also enjoy, obviously with even less LF energy than the 603`s had but sound very similar otherwise.

    Would it be safe to assume the 604S3 share a similar sonic signature albeit with some more low end reach?

    Going with a subwoofer doesn't bode well with my OCD and therefore not really an option

    PS. this is strictly for music playback. amplification is adequate.

      I really think the 604s3 are a nice upgrade from the s2... they did some nice improvements on them between the two models.

      They definitely will give you the low end you desire!!!!
      Digital Audio makes me Happy.

          Have an opportunity to get a good deal on a set of used Kimber 8TC with Cardas spades and plugs. Is this too much for my 604's?

          I currently have 600 s2 speakers (603s2, LCR6) and am looking to upgrade. I was thinking about the CM5,7 or 9 as fronts and the CMC2 center. The RH speaker will be in a corner (2ft from back wall and 1ft from side) - are stand mount speakers better than floor standing in this situation?...

          I've listened to the 604's and the 703's. The 703's sound much better to my ear, however, the 604's are very good. To me, the 604's sound better than the Energy C-9's (a former option).
