    More B&W..... C5s

    Well I just got my Bowers & Wilkins C5 headphones and all I can say is WOW!!!! :E

    Totally impressed, even with only 30 minutes of listening on them so far... The quality is near perfect, very neutral and balanced sound from them. It's almost list sitting at home listening on my 802Ds... well... not the same...but there's the similar characteristics to them. Maybe it's the "Bowers & Wilkins Sound" or something.... lol

    Anyways... I have to say that these are the best in ear I've heard ever!

    The "loop" design of the wire and seconding as an inner ear holder works perfectly and they litterally start to feel completely natural in your ear. There's hardly any pressure to them this way.

    I definitely want to give B&W their credit on these headphones... Amazing!!!

    Playing hi-res FLAC files sounds amazing all the detail is completely there even playing off my Samsung Galaxy Media Player 5... it'll play the hi-res files and WOW does it all sound good. This will definitely make the 40 minute ride on the trolley 1000x better!!!! :B

    Digital Audio makes me Happy.

    What kind of player do you use at home to play FLACs through your 802D2?

      Flac goes through this process.

      Foobar2000 -> ASIO4ALL -> Musical Fidelity VLink (soon to be 192 or upgraded to a good DAC) -> Cambridge Audio 840c -> Rotel RSP-1098 -> Rotel RB-1090 -> 802D2
      Digital Audio makes me Happy.

        For FLAC, I can suggest a good hifi player like Linn Majik DS. It has been a game changer for me--find a local Linn dealer and have a listen.

        I use it now, but got the higher end Linn Akurate DSM but to go to Akurate level gear, you will have to upgrade you amps as well so it is a very expensive proposition.

          Funny - I really think B&W missed it big times with the C5. Sound quality is not that great and the cable is to stiff so every time it brushes against your clothes it can be heard. Compared to my Shure 530 they are worthless.
          But nice to know that someone likes them..
