    Packing N804

I will be moving soon. I have the boxes and inserts for my N804 speakers. What is the proper sequence for packing these speakers; don't want to snap of the tweeter?

Set the bottom of the box down.
    Place the bottom foam insert.
Carefully place the speaker on top of the foam.
Drape the top of the speaker with the clothes cover (the one that covers the tweeter.
Drape the speaker with the plastic bag.
    Place the top foam insert.
    Close the box.

      I'd do a bit differently.

      1. place the bottom foam on floor.
      2. place the speaker on the botton foam
      3. cover the speaker with the supplied wrapper.
      4. open both top and bottom flaps of the box.
      5. slide the box over the speakers.
      6. inster the top foam
      7. tape up the top
      8. carefully tilt the whole thing sideways on to the floor
      9. close and tape up the bottom.

i have done this a few times and shipped from USA to Japan to Hong Kong and did it by my self and no damage in 7 years.

the reason i don't do as below is i can't lift the speaker by by self and put in the box.

akhter - I like your 'format'. I was not excited about liftin and putting in the box bottom-first.

Ahh, I did not put into consideration that lifting the speaker may be a problem for some.

          Good suggestion Akhter! :T

            Convoluted foam thickness?

            Hello,

I started to build the Amigas from Paul Carmody
            https://sites.google.com/site/undefinition/diy/amiga

            He says in instructions:

That was pretty clear until I realised that the cabinet is so narrow. The internal width of the cabinet is...

            Equipment Boxes and Packing Materials
            by greenhorn
What the heck to do with them? Since upgrading I’m sitting with a lot (about 10 or so fairly large) original equipment boxes including the packing material and they are taking up significant space in the extra bedroom. Amp, PreAmp, Floor Standing Speakers… and the boxes and packing material from...

I think lots that are on this forum have a few sets of speakers and recievers pre amps and pre pros and power amps. I know I have a few piles and I am in lust with Jons Mt8a and need to learn a few new construction techniques.
One is I like pine and fir so I started looking at them. Next...

            re-packing 802's
            by Relentless
I am going to be picking up the new speakers and I have to bring the 802D's back. If I remember the original packaging has a base and a box that slides into the base and then there is a top and it was banded around the base and the top. Well I don't have a banding machine. Are there any ideas on what...

Upside down speaker? (Tweeter on bottom)
            by pmeyer
Is there any reason that speakers need to be 'right side up'? Assuming the tweeters are at the correct height, can the speakers be mounted upside down?

I'm trying to resolve some space conflicts in my home theater and could use some help.

            - I would like identical left/center/right...
