    Help with improve sound quality

Hi guys, I have some doubts with my next purchased to improve the sound of my 804D home theater, I will buy a OPPO BDP-95 because I want improve the sound quality of my CD’s and bluray concerts and I know that this one have a rotel transformer and better DACs than my current Denon AVR-3310. actually I have a cheaper Panasonic bluray player and I listen my cd’s and blurays in this one across HDMI connection but I don’t know if the oppo is the better choice for me, also I will change my denon to a rotel RSX-1562 and with this get a most musical AVR, my main use is bluray concert and CD´s but with the RSX-1562 maybe I will get better DAC instead of the OPPO?, what do you think is the better options for me, a oppo player or better AVR, or another options will be a dedicated CD player under 500 bucks and the oppo BDP-93 for my bluray disc,if anyone have another option It’s welcome. The video quality in a HD video with the oppo is a better instead in a cheap bluray or only the oppo have a better image in dvd up scaling?
    Thanks for you help.

My set up is rotel 1582 for fronts and avr3310 for center and rears, 804D+HTM4D+805D.

Go with Pre/pow instead with AVR.

Unless you plan to use the analog preouts of the Bluray player, your better off putting the money towards the better processor as the DACs in that unit will be used.

Don't get a $500 CD player + Oppo BDP-93.. You might as well get the Oppo BDP-95. It will be better then a $500 CD player and costs $500 over the 93..

        Cheers

Agreed....the Oppo BDP-95 will outperform a $500 CD player. Your idea of going Rotel is a good one and you will not be disappointed with the sonic results!!.

thanks guys for your input, which other alternative do you think is better for AVR or pre/amp in a budget under 5000 bucks for both, pre or avr plus amp. Remember that I have the 1582 for fronts and I will seek a new 3 CH amp for center and rears. I have another question, if I will go for example with a classe combo(ssp-800 ca-5300) do you will use the analogue output of the oppo? or instead of this you will put a digital signal in the dac of the SSP800?

For 2,700 you can't beat the Marantz AV7055/7005 combo - it is absolutely amazing for the price. And, will outperform just about any AVR. I use it with my Oppo 95 and it is magical.

Currently, I'm running the two HDMI outputs from the Oppo, one to the Marantz, the other to the TV and it looks spectacular.

I run Stereo RCA outs to the CD input whenever I want to use the internal DACs on the Oppo for music.

I will probably run RCA's for all channels in the future, but I couldn't be happier right now with my HT set up.

              Hope this helps...

I used to have Marantz AV8003/8003 combo. I liked them but would go with AV7005/ Emotiva XPA-5, Oppo95 Combo/ my2c

Thanks again fellows, what do you think about the classe pack? With this I will not need a high end Source? I Know that this never end but I have some doubts why people spend a lot money in CD or Universal player if they have a high end preamp like classe? this not be redundant?. I sorry if this question is stupid or might annoy someone.

Every component in your system has the potential to affect it's overall sound. Your room and speakers contributes the most to the overall sound. The rest of your components can fine tune the sound, but in most cases the changes are pretty small. The true answer to your question about a high end source is "maybe".

Although I am interested in acquiring a Blu-Ray player at some point now that the Hi-Def video format war is over, I don’t have a single BD-DVD at the moment… and I do have several hundred standard def DVD’s. Therefore, I want a machine that will up-convert my SD-DVD’s to HD with the highest...

Which Oppo with the SSP 800

I am thinking of replacing my Denon 3800 Bluray with the Oppo BD83 (faster loading times and SACD/DVD Audio playback) but am trying to decide which one. While many are raving about the analogue sections of the 83 SE and even the Nuforce edition, I can't imagine that the DACs in those units would sound...

Tried to play my first BluRay disc tonight and am having problems. The BluRay disc is the current Star Trek movie. The Oppo BD BluRay displays True DD. The 1570 displays Dolby HD Dmix 48k with subscript showing only the FL FR and SW playing. When I turn 1570 off and then on again that first display...

Okay, all these different audio formats have always confused me. On the back of this Jeff Beck Bluray disc "Live at Ronnie Scotts" it lists the audio format as LPCM stereo, Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS HD Master Audio.

LPCM (Lossless Pulse Code Modulation) Stereo, is...
