before you spend any money, I highly recommend the 685s. I bought them unheard because of my recent relocation but I've been picking up my jaw for the last few days since I got them. Now, my main system back home includes a pair of 801N driven by Krell 650mc monos so my expectations was not alot for a $400/used pair but man, they sucker punched me big time. The funny thing is that they are driven by a tiny Wadia PowerDAC 151 with 25w/ch at 8ohm. Having owned most of the nautilus line, I have to say B&W outdone themselves with these little monitors. The details, bass and midrange as good as my 805N at home at 25% the cost.

I have 1 day to think about this 602 s3 vs. 685, I have the 602 s3 with me right now and its a pair of bad ass speakers.. but I keep hearing about the 685 being even more bad ass.. i havnt had the chance of listening to the 685 but does it really blow away the 602 s3??
