It is interesting to note that the 800 Diamond was awarded 104 points. It's predecessor, the 800D, was awarded 101 points when it was reviewed at this same site in May 2005.
This is how their point system of grading is applied:
REFERENCE CATEGORY 101 points and above (superior)... -
Reading some posts involving the old and new 800 Series where the diamond tweeter is concerned can be a bit confusing at times. For instance the new 805 Diamond has been labeled everything from 805D, 805Di to 805D2. According to B&W they are referencing the new series as the D2 series for short.... -
I am looking to purchase some used speakers. I am a little confused about when the different 800 diamond series were released. I am looking at some 7 month old 804D and some 803D that are three years old. The 803D's are $500 more than the 804D's. Was there an upgrade to the Diamond series or were... -
