Matrix 800 series vs. Nautilus 800 series vs ??

I am new to the B&W scene and was hoping you guys could give me some descriptions of how these b&w speakers sound in relation to each other. Also what are their individual pro's and con's? I am strongly tempted to go with a pair of Nautilus 805's as I can get them for $1,400.00 but I can get the 801 Matrix 25th anniversary pair for $1,700.00. With that being said I can get the 705's or Matrix 804's for a fraction of those prices. Which of these would give the closest performance to the diamond series? I love the diamond series but hated the CM7's that I listened to. How do these compare to those?

    Matrix 803
    801 Matrix 25th anniversary edition
    705's
    Matrix 804
    805 Nautilus

The choice will depend your room size or your plans to get a dedicated room. If you are in the last one then you can take the M801 that´s by far the best speaker between the models you typed. You can play them in a room starting with 30sqm, you wont have any problem.

      +1 on above..

Can I ask what you dislike about the CM7?

Also what gear were you listening to is on, and what size was the room?

I have listened to lots and lots of B&W speakers, and at the price point of the CM7 I find it to be quite a fantastic speaker.

If there is something about the CM7 you dislike it is important to know so that we can avoid similar sounding speakers..

      Cheers,

        Matrix or 700 series?
        by deke
I've had a set of 602 s2s for the last 7 years or so and have been very happy with them. However, I've been thinking of replacing them with a full range speaker. The speakers will be used 50/50 for music & HT. I care about music more. For now, I'll be driving them with a Rotel RMB-1075.

        Combining Nautilus with 800 series...
        by weijst
Is there anyone out there who's combining the 'old' Nautilus series with the new 800 series?

The reason I ask is because I'm not sure wether to opt for a pair of N804 or 805S to hook up next to my Nautilus HTM2 ('old series'). I know the ideal match would be a pair of N805, but reading...

Nautilus 805/htm2 Reviews, Info, and Q&A
        by sikoniko
I am putting the htm2 speaker in with this review because it is the only center that matches these speakers.

The 805 is the cheapest of the Nautilus speakers, if you do not include a stand in the price. When I brought these speakers home initially, I didnt really have very high hopes....
