    The "ease" of digital music is a great thing. I say ease becuase you'll be spending quite a bit of time early on ripping cd's to lossless files or downloading hi resolution music files. But once the music server is set up, it's a great thing!

    I looked at both Sonos and Logitech. I ended up with the Logitech Touch as it could do higher resolution files than the Sonos and used my existing wireless network. All for $300. (The Sonos sets up it's own wireless system so you may have to buy more hardware than just the player). You can read yourself in circles about what system is best. But I've found the Logitech easy to set up and reliable. Likewise, it has apps for Pandora (and others) and multiple controller options via my iPad. So listening to music has never been easier.

    The Touch does have a USB out. So, you could go directly into your MF amp. However, to get the equivalent of a "$5000 cd player" I think you would need to feed your digital files from the player (Touch or Sonos) into a good quality DAC--Especially with revealing speakers like B&W. My CD player has a digital input which made it easy. So you may want to consider the matching MF cd player as I think it has a digital in as well. Or, if you want a one box solution, I'd look at the PS Audio Perfect Wave DAC with the wireless bridge.

    Happy Shopping.

      .......yes and a play station 1 can wipe the floor with both the $5000 player and the sonos and its only 20 bucks on ebay.

      Its easy and cheap for digital to sound ok. You need to pay a little more for it to sound good to excellent. Wireless streaming is about convenience. A 5 grand player, particularly in the US, is about sound quality.

      In hifi don't believe what you are told, go and listen for yourself.
      Mac 8gb SSD Audirvana ->Weiss INT202 firewire interface ->Naim DAC & XPS2 DR->Conrad Johnson CT5 & LP70S-> Vivid B1s. Nordost Valhalla cables & resonance management. (Still waiting for Paul Hynes PS:M)
      Siamese :evil: :twisted:
