Centre speaker for XT8

A friend of mine has XT8 front speakers. Now he's looking for a centre speaker.
The obvious choice would be the XTC but...the XT8 has FST midrange but the XTC has not.

Would it be better to buy a CMC2 wich has also FST midrange or go with the XTC anyway??

I believe in system symmetry. So I would go with the XTC. It will have the same timbre at the XT8's.


Of course, if it's possible to test each center with the XT8's, that's the best scenario. Then let your ears decide.
