Anyone go from the XT4 to the XT8, or do any comparisons? I have the XT4 and came across a deal on XT8s, but wondering if its really worth upgrading. I dont have anywhere local with XT8s so I cant just go in and listen.

Had the XT8's for a short time and did do a short comparison with the earlier model. Not much difference in my opinion, but I did like the change they did in adding that circular plate. Made it much less likely to fall over if somebody accidentally pushed them. -
FWIW, you can use the base plate from the xt2 stands, on the xt4, and you pretty much have the same base as the xt8Comment

I've sold my XT4 speakers(still have XTC as a center) and I'm looking for a replacement. I would like to improve sq so I was thinking of the XT8's.
Would the XT8 be a good match with the XTC? XT8 has FST and... -
A friend of mine has XT8 front speakers. Now he's looking for a centre speaker.
The obvious choice would be the XTC but...the XT8 has FST midrange but the XTC has not.
Would it be better to buy a CMC2 wich has also FST midrange or go with the XTC anyway??

like some here in the forum said the B&W XT4 speakers need a very powerful amp. I didn't want to belive my 2x 125 watts in stereo class-D amp (rmb-1077) won't be sufficient.

I'm looking to spend less than $2500 on a stereo amp for the B&W XT8 stereo speakers. I listen mostly to music. Does anyone know of any "match made in heaven" amps for it? Thank you!
