What do you think of 4.8 pre and 250R power amp with 802D? I can't afford the big boys right now so I'm kinda choosing between Classe 500/2200 and this combo.

electrocompaniet now is a good brand. make graet product.
the problem is the today you have all the piece for a event. repair but tomorrow?
this company has already failed 2 to 3 times.....
the 250 is a good amplifier , the pre is very "old".
This does not mean it does not sound right but it seems a bit risky ...
and if you want to sell these devices in the future receive very little.... -

electrocompaniet is a very good match with B&W in my opinion. always has been for many many years..
there is nothing wrong with the gear either. solid well made stuff that lasts for years.
do for your opinion, but stuff can buy without qualm I will suggest. you dont have to lock yourself in with classe with B&W gear ...there are many other options that work very well too.."Technology is a drug. We can't get enough of it."Comment

So today the mrs & kids were out of the house and I had some time to really crank my system for maybe the 3rd time since I've set it up. So I am "testing" it out to see how really loud it can go. The other couple of times I've only hit maybe 75 on the 1068 volume.

Rel subs have a high level connection via the left + & - and the right + only at the speaker connections on the power amp. They also allow you to have this high level connection and a low level connection hooked up at the same time.
