Feedback on Emotiva XPA-1 Monoblock Amps

I am considering purchasing 3 Emotiva XPA-1 Monoblocks for my system.

    Your feedback would be appreciated.

I have 802D and HTM2D on my front channels.

    Thanks, JohnnyB

Heard Them, Sound Great Two Channel

My buddy has Polk Lsi15 fronts and a Polk LsiC for the center all powered by XPA-1's. These speakers are a bit power hungry and sounded much better with the XPA-1's than the Outlaw 5x200watt amp he had initially running them. The biggest differences were in the low end(very controlled and full) when run full range in two channel for music. Didn't notice as much difference when used for home theater. Hope this helps. I think these are about the best deal in audio right now. If my wife didn't like the one box concept of the UPA-7 I have then I would do exactly what you are doing right now. My buddy runs the 3xXPA-1's in the front and uses an XPA-5 to run his four surrounds. It's a bit overkill, but as the old dragracing axiom goes, "There is no replacement for DISPLACEMENT". I tend to agree.

      Thanks Warrant!!

I am a retired Navy Submariner.

I am trying to get a feel for the quality of sound with these big Emotiva versus Bryston 7B-SST or Classe products.

      Thanks, JohnnyB

I was considering buying 3 myself for my 802s and HTM2d. Too bad you didnt make the jump 2 weeks ago, they were only 799 each. Could save $600 on all 3. I would have pulled the trigger if I didnt spend 10k in nov/dec. :x

Soon they will have an other sale hopefully, I kick myself as well just so that I could try for 30 days and see if they could replace my Classé CA-5200

              Rotel and Emotiva - compared
              by SkyDover
I've been a big fan of Rotel products. I have a Rotel RC-1090 and RB-1090 for home. I also had a RB-1092 and RC-1090 that I purchased for my office at work to listen to when working later hours, to give me something to listen to. During a period of time we were relocating our office in another location,...

Rotel 1069 or to-be-released Emotiva processor?
              by kmcheng
Has anyone done a comparison of Rotel vs. Emotiva in terms of their processors? I am about to pull the trigger on the Rotel 1069, but then I came across the Emotiva UMC-1. The Emotiva unit has not been released yet. However, I am wondering if anyone has listened to some previous versions of Emotiva's...

              Emotiva RMC-1 Meltdown
              by theSven
I've had issue with my Emotiva RMC-1, and I've even sent the unit in to Emotiva for service. I was out of town for work travel for 2 weeks, and upon returning I wanted to watch a movie and spend some time in my theater. I go to turn on the Emotiva and it doesn't boot. I get the typical error ARMC-1...

B&W DB1 and JL F113 and Emotiva... Fun day to say the least
              by BVLDARI
So I had an interesting AV day yesterday. First, Emotiva was in a suburb in Chicago. Second, my dealer is not far from where Emotiva was - so I planned an afternoon music.

My Emotiva experience was a bit disappointing. They did not have enough people there to handle the (relatively small)...
