Plugs for 800 series Flow Ports?

Anyone ever use port plugs for 800 series?

I believe they have 4" ports.

I used them for both ports in my HTM2D (which is in the process of being sold). I used them to minimize any boominess as the speaker was quite close to the back wall. Wanted a lower & slightly punchier bass volume taking into account that mainly vocals were being presented.

Yea, I rerranged my room last week, i placed the speakers closer to the walls and one of them is in a corner. I knew it was not going to be "ideal" compared to how it was, but it made the flow to the rest of the house better.

Bass is deffinately more boomy. I got rid of my sub, yet it sounds like I do have a sub when watching movies.

I think I may try stuffing the ports and see how it sounds.

I noticed something different with the 600 series and 800 series plugs. The 683's plugs where two piece. You could take the center out to make a half plug. The 800 series plugs are solid. I would of liked to try half plugs like on my 683. Full plugs take away too much bass dynamics for me. Not that it really matters since the bass on the 804S is cleaner than the 683, it's just something I noticed when I was going to experiment with the plugs the other day since my final setting with the 683 was using the half plugs....

          Foam Plugs
          by Stoney
I have read about foam plugs that B&W includes with some speakers to plug into the ports to reduce bass output. I have a pair of DM 605 S2 and I was wondering if I could use plugs to reduce some boomyness in my room. What are the plugs made of? Is the foam similar to the foam used in the swimming...

Some quick questions about plugging ports in speakers
          by JonW
I’ve got to place my rear speakers nearly right up against a wall. These will be Modula MT’s used for rear speakers in a 5.1 system, with a sub. Perhaps I should plug the ports. This compromise doesn’t really bother me because it’s just for rear speakers- it’s not the main speakers for music....

          Official SSP-800 Thread
          by RebelMan

Given the number of piecemeal threads floating around regarding the SSP-800 I felt it would be more useful to consolidate the information we currently know about the upcoming processor into a dedicated thread. I believe it would facilitate better record keeping as more information...

Bowers & Wilkins phase plug UPGRADE. Applies to all B&W speakers with phase plugs!
          by hockey_101
Has anyone upgraded the plastic phase plug's on their B&W speakers for a pair of aluminum or copper ones similar to the phase plugs used in the signature speakers?

I found these on eBay and plan on upgrading my 684's, 686's, and HTM-62 Center Channel. I went out on a whim and purchased...

I just purchase the new Classe CA-5300 and SSP-800 with HDMI 1.4 capability from Digital Ear in California. It is supposed to ship this week. I currently own a CA-5100 and am replacing my existing processor and 2 channel amp with the new items I just purchased. I'm going to run the CA-5300 to my front...
