705 as surrounds with 803D and HTM2D?

Hi All,

Any views on the acoustic match of the 705's as surrounds for a system anchored by 803Ds (front) and HTM2D center? Thanks in advance. I know that 805's are more commonly matched with the 803D's but their price tag is pretty high for surround channels.

I have the 803D and Htm2D for front, the 805S are for the surround...

now in switzerland I can have a 705 NEW at hlaf price..and I have the same idea:
replace the 805S with a 705. the 805S i go use for a extra stereo system or
to make a 7 channels system...
the 705 will be discountinued but is a very good speaker: the CM5 will be too a good chioce but mouch more expensive vs. the 705 in "very specias price"!!


for the "match2 the 805 are sure much better but a 705, new for 50% price
is not every day available.

Thanks, style. That's great feedback. I heard the 705s this week and was pretty impressed, though I have yet to hear the 805s. I like the sound of special price for surround channel speakers. How much are they in CHF after the discount? Thanks.
