    B&W Custom Theater CT8.4 LCRS

Has anyone heard these speakers yet? How would they compare to other speakers in the 800 line up? Are they good at all listening levels?

Have you seen the price? I don't think they're close to the 800 series at all in terms of price... so I would HOPE that stands true in performance as well. It would be awesome to get a chance to listen to them though.

I heard they are less expensive because of the simple look and design.

Sound wise they don't match the traditional 800 series. Different designs to work in different area's. They really need to be built into to something to sound right.

Thanks for the input...that basically squashes the idea of me looking at them.

I've heard them. They are designed to be mounted into cabinets. I liked them and thought they fit well into HT. Chris Browder (from B&W) said they are comparable (to him) to N802's in sound and tonality. I'd have to A/B them to say definitively.

They were very nice sounding, but diamond's are still a b&w fan's best friend.
I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

I know I am peppering this forum with things, but hey Classe is new to me, even the legacy stuff.

I want to comment on the remote because I hope Classe reads this forum and takes suggestions.

I have a love hate with it so far, or more like a love dislike. I have a Harmony...

              Opinion needed on looks
              by Nolan B
I will fully admit this thread helps no one and is completely selfish of me. That aside my wife and I need some other opinions. We have the oportunity to replace our 1068 for a 1098. Problem is if we do that the 1098 would have to sit on top of the cabinate and we arent sure if it ruins the look. This...

              Khan... inspired HT?
              by jagman
My wife and I put an offer on a house and we'll get the answer early this week. If we get the house, I won't be able to go with my previous plan for speakers (the full size Statement towers). Required speaker location makes sealed front speakers a must... and I really like the RS225 woofers.

Classe SSP 900: What it would have been
              by Nolan B

I just came across this while looking for Classe pics. By looking at the last picture it looks like a prototype actually exisits....I wonder if it worked and if so where it is now.

At $25,000 it would have never been in my price range, but...
