    Bi-Amping help

    Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased the RSX-1560 and finally received my bi-amping cables. I hooked them up but just wondering how I can tell that they are working for HF and LF?

Does the HF control only the tweeter where the LF only controll's the Mid/woofers? I am bi-amping a pair for 683's

    Thanks in advance
    Terry

Well, I hope you have removed the jumpers between HF and LF on the speaker terminals. If so and there's sound coming from all the drivers, they are working for both HF and LF.

but specifically would the LF power only the woofer and the HF power the tweeter only?

      Thanks Terry

That is the whole point of bi-amping. Isn't that what you were trying to achieve?

Or were you really attempting to bi-wire?

no that is what I am attempting to achieve with bi-amping but just wanted to confirm what speakers would be driven with LF and HF in regards specifically the the 683's

          Thanks Terry

Why not? I am trying to find out what you want and if you understand what you are doing. Biamping requires separate amplifiers for each part of the spectrum (HF and LF) and separate terminals for each on the speakers. Now, I could look that up for you but you can look at the back of the speakers and it.

BTW, let's drop this thread and stop the duplication. Let's keep it to the other thread.

                Whats up all?

Anyone first off know the release of the the 15 series? I'm also wondering about the RSX1560. It looks to have built in ICE class D digital amps built in. 7x100. Thats pretty cool. 4u rack space total. Thats also cool. I'm wondering how it would do in a 7 channel home theater...

                jumpers on AV-receiver
                by Arnold van Oostrum
My AV-receiver has jumpers on the backside for each channel that connects the pre-amp part with the poweramp part. If using an external poweramp, the jumper for the channel has to be removed.

These jumpers are thick metal brackets. I saw that i.e. Audioquest has specific jumpers made...

Which of these mix are best for biamping in this price category ?
One 1075 is basic. Biamping for main speakers - of course for stereo.

                1. 1075 + 1075
                2. 1075 + 2 x 1070
                3. 1075 + 1090 (no biamping)

Just received my 804's but have not hooked them up yet. I'm contemplating biamping them versus single wiring. Does anyone have an opinion on biamping? I've read in multiple posts that biwiring doesn't do much in terms of an audible difference but biamping can due to isolated current to the high and...

                Hi,

I seemed to have lost my Nautilus HTM1 6" speakers jumpers and want to know if B&W sell these as a separate item since the NHTM1 is a discontinued product?

Otherwise, is anyone here willing to part with their speaker jumpers at a cost? What about third-party...
