Hi everyone
my receiver is an onkyo tx sr-875 and i'm using it on B&W MT-30
now they are all running on the onkyo receiver and i am very pleased since i am using them in a 4.5m x 4m room and i don't need much more power than this. the music sounds perfect just on the 802Ds and the movies put out everything they can on the mt-30s (now together with 802D). i am using my computer soundboard (proffesional) as a source. anyway, everything is a new experience now since the 802Ds are "undressing" the music i used to listen to and got me discover some new sounds to the tracks i thought i know. that's a wonderful feeling
my next upgrade is going to be a good source and then who knows...
anyway, now, with all i got (front-802ds, center-sides-rear-sub-mt30, receiver-onkyo tx sr 87, amplifier- classe ca2200 ) i want to take the sound quality to perfection as much as possible by setting the receiver according to the speakers and amplifier specifications.
i've read the manuals, i made tests and my final settings look like this:
speaker impedance 4ohms,
front 200hz
center 60hz
sorround 80hz(thx)
sorround back 2 channels 80hz (thx)
lpf or lfe 100hz
subwofer (pv1) is set to 60hz (i noticed that the bass sounds cleaner using this setting)
are they correct? is there anything else i should change?
are theese speakers too much different? can i get a worst sound if i run them together? may they damage somehow if i run them on these settings?
thanks for your help
