    Muffled sound

    Hi All,

Over the passed few weeks I've been breaking in my new B&W 685 and HTM62 speakers along with a Velodyne 1200R subwoofer.

I find the sound very muffled, the voices are hidden and not clear.

I'm wondering if my Harman Kardon AVR is causing this...

I've got good quality cables and have the settings on the AVR to LARGE.

    Any ideas?

For starters, change your setting from large to small - you've got a subwoofer, so there's no point in sending all that low frequency to your 685s. You may need to experiment with crossover in your AVR, but start out crossing over your 685s at 80Hz and see how that sounds.
