I've not heard it but I'd imagine it's pretty good. It has the same drivers as the CM1 just in a different enclosure. I'm sure it's better than the M1.

Yes, regardless of version. Which version do you have by the way?

yes the vm6 sound awesome and will work just fine in your system.
The Bitterness of poor quality last longer than the joy of low prices.

I have not heard the VM6 myself, but the VM1 clearly sounded inferior to the M-1 during my audition. Even my wife could tell the difference, and they were being sold at the same price!

Unless B&W substantially improves the VM6, I would recommend getting the M-1 for rears. Also check out the 685/686 when you go to the dealer. I believe that the VM6 is getting very close to the price points of the 600 series, which should certainly match the timber of your other 600 series speakers.

The M-1 does have two big drawbacks: 1. The B&W-designed stands are grossly overpriced and they are your only option if you have to put the M-1 on stands. 2. The M-1 are a big pain to set up.

The VM1 is older that the M1 and I do agree with you that the M1 sounds better. That said, the VM1 is targeted at a different application than the M1 so the VM1 is the right product sometimes.

The VM6 is a totally different speaker than the VM1. The VM6 has the same drivers as the CM1. It's just a different enclosure. I'm sure the VM6 sounds much better, and bigger, than the M1.

                            Hi all,

I'm trying to decide on whether I should purchase a pair of DS3's or CM1 S2's to complete my 7.1 home theater setup. I have all CM series speakers in my 5.1 setup currently. According to the Dolby site I see the surrounds would move to the sides of my couch(at ear level) and the...

I am in the process of auditioning speakers for my home theater/music system. I have been to the dealer several times and have auditioned the 600 series and the CM1's which both fit into my budget. I have also been ebaying and have seen several CM4's that look nice. I know I am kinda crossing several...

                            I'm in the process of fitting out a 7.5m x 4.5m x 2.9m (24.75'x14.85'x9.75') room for HT.
The floor will be 19mm(3/4") solid timber boards on timber batons. The batons are fixed to a concrete slab and there's a 80mm(3") air gap between floor boards and slab.
                            My question is:...

I'm looking into purchasing surround wall mounted speakers to complement my N804's and NHTM2 speakers. I'm not interested in investing into the SMCS rear speakers. My system will only be a 5.1 set-up . I checked the internet and from what I saw both models are approx. $450 each.

                            I...

I bought CM1 few years ago becouse i was impressed from the sound for such a small speaker, and use them as a rears for a while. After that i upgrade the rears with 805s to be match for my 803s/htm3s.... More then one year Cm1 was boxed ... Few weeks ago i decided to organize my work room (3m x 4,5m)...
