Just this morning, I discover that the rear of my HTM1 bleeds a kind of black sticky liquid stuff. It apparantly came from the screw knob inbetween the 4 binding poles, anyone got any idea what's happening?

No pictures as I have wiped it off.
And there's no source of heat nearby other than the room temperature which I think hottest in the day might be 28-30degC max. Gasket can take this temp right? And my speaker isn't even running most of the time these days. Probably about once a week over the weekends.- Bottom

wettou, that's really clutching at straws.Originally posted by wettouIt is possessed may be you need a demonizer!
It's much more likely to be caused by dirty mains power which is manifesting itself as black goo.
This problem would be fixed by replacing the amp's power cable with a much more expensive one.

I therefore tilted the HTM1 downwards with a One Inch piece...-

by Dan SchulzeHas anyone bi-amped the HTM1?
I am considering bi-amping my HTM1. The reason is - I am getting new amps (Bryston 7B SST's - 600w monoblocks) for my 802's, but will not bi-amp those. I will continue to use my existing amp (Anthem MCA 50 - 180w, 5 channel) for my surrounds (805's) and for...-

by gostanI finally solved my Sony GWIII-HTM1 speaker placement issue by breaking down and purchasing the HTM1 speaker stand. My center channel is now at the proper height sitting directly in front of my monitor. I have readjusted all audio levels to allow for the fact that the center channel speaker is now...-
