They are quite good. How big is the room and what amp do you have to run them?

Also, are they used or demos? The DS6 hasn't been available for more than a year. The new speaker is the DS3.

As for a center I'd look at the HTM62 or a used LCR600S3.

          artv4,

Congrats. I started with a pair of 601's and a center channel many years ago. I had my 601's until late last year.

Once you are in with B&W, you tend to stay there. I now have 802D's, HTM2D and N804's in my HT setup.

You are correct that the 603 is a very good speaker for the money.

Good chioce to power them with Rotel. Overall a very nice combo.

          Just listen and enjoy.

The 603 is a wonderful speaker at that price point. I had a pair for quite a while, but I sold them to help purchase a pair of 703s. Fortunately, I sold them to a friend so I frequently get to hear them

The 600 series was my first entry into this expensive hobby, way to go.

Twelve years later, I am now the proud owner of 16 B&W speakers ranging from 802D to custom install series.....

Enjoy make sure you give them good quality amplifications and they will give you the goods for a long, long time my 600 are now in the garage and still sound very nice when I work out.

You might want to pull the speakers off the wall it will improve the sound stage greatly and it's free.:T

                                  Hi,

Im looking at putting together a package of 4x 705s plus a HTM7 for 5.1 HT use. I would actually like to go 6.1 (I dont have enough space for 2 speakers on my rear wall), and so my first logical choice was to go for the DS7.

Just joined the forum trying to find some answers from B&W experts.

I was puuting together a 5.1 system with N802s in front & N804s in the rear, when someone recommended I might think about putting a 7.1 system together. They thought a pair of DS6...
