    ML Depth i with 704's?

Can anyone here comment on this sub if they own it, or point me in the direction of professional reviews? I've done some Google searches and haven't found much. Most of the reviews are for the older Depth, and not the i model.

I am looking for a new sub to round out my system. I did have a Sunfire True Subwoofer that is several years old, but my cats ate through both drivers! For cat protection I need either a downfiring sub, or one with a metal grill, because the cats will tear apart the fabric ones.

I've been checking out some of the subs from Hsu and SVS, but all of their "deep" subs are enormous, and I really don't have room in my condo for an endtable. From what I've read, the ML servo subs should work well with my B&W 704's and HTM7 front three. The Grotto i is really nice too, but I think I want the lower end that the Depth provides. Here is what is important to me:

    1. Cat proof
    2. Bass you can feel and not hear
    3. Aesthetics (size and looks)
    4. Price

    Thanks!

    Welcome to the forum x43x

I do not own the ML depth, but do own the Descent. Although they are different models they do share the same signature sound. The ML IMO compliments the B&W's, very fast, tight, and is able to do well in both home theater and stereo. I do not think that you would be disappointed with your choice, I prefered the sound and output over my B&W ASW850 and the Velodyne DD series I listened to.

ML subs are super! Match made in heaven with the 704.

Ha ! and they laughed at me for my horticultural solution to latent moggification of the transducer.

            Sub to go with 704s?
            by Navin R. Johnso
            First post, here we go....

I've been lurking here for several months and decided on a pair of 704s and Rotel 1056 as the foundation for a system aimed at 60% music / 40% HT. I've had them for a few weeks and am delighted so far, but now the mind wanders to thoughts of subwoofers....

No I'm not talking about cat cables. I was at my favorite used record store in Santa Monica, CA and found a album by the Ink Spots from 1939 that was in pristine condition. When I was a kid this was one of my dads favorites, naturally I thought they were totally lame. Just for yucks I bought it ($1.89,...

            Value of used b&w 704s
            by chuck21401
I have a pair of black B&W 704 speakers as part of my home theater system. I purchased them two years ago from a DC retailer - Myer Emco. The speakers were floor demos and I paid $1500.

My son was born around the time I bought speakers, he is now 2. He is obsessessed with the tweeter...

            Trading in 704s for 703s
            by mrpotto
Ok, so here's what I've decided to do. I'm trading my 704s in for 703s (I have a deal with a local dealer where I get to apply purchase price of 704s towards the 703s so it will be about $800 out of pocket to do so). For now I plan to keep my HTM7 center (I've read on some audio forums that the HTM&...
