The products that B&W are going to show at CEDIA will be a couple of new in-wall/in-ceiling speakers, a VM6 wall mount speaker, and a new line of lesser expensive CT Series.
The new in-walls are a lesser expensive LCR called the CWM Cinema6. The new in-ceiling is a CCM818 that is a flush version of the CCM817 at the same price. BTW all of the in-wall/in-ceiling speakers are going up in price.
The VM6 is an on-wall similar to the VM1 but better perfromance. It has the same drivers as the CM1 and it's the same price at $450.00 US. It's to bridge the gap between the VM1 and the FPM4.
The CT7 Series is a new custom install theater speaker line like the CT800 Series meant for high output systems that are built into walls and cabinets. There will be a couple of models and they will start around $700.00 US each.
B&W will also show a CT8.4 LCR that will be around $5000.00 US each as a step between the CT7 Series and the CT800 Series, which is $15,000.00 US each, as well.

Seems like it would be better to just get rip of the VM series rather then make them as good as the FPMs. Personally I think a step up from FPMs would have been worth while.- Bottom

There is a big part of the market they are missing in between the VM1 at $200.00 US each and the FPM4 at $700.00 US each. That is a very competitive price point (around $400.00 US each) and they had nothing there. Since the drivers are sourced from another speaker, the CM1, it didn't cost them an arm and a leg to develop them. I think it's going to be a big hit.
As for a step up from the FPM6, which is $900.00 US each, most customers move to a speaker like the XT4 or the 700 Series. Most people are looking for the best performance if they go beyond the price point of the FPM6 and it's tough to get it from and on-wall.
