With the CM7 you can run the crossover pretty low. I would start around 60 - 70 Hz and see what works in your room. Make sure you turn the crossover all the way up on the Velodyne so you don't have the receiver and sub crossovers shelving on top of one another. The trick is to get the sub to sound like it's part of the speakers. Generally the lower the crossover with a floor standing full range speaker the better.

by GuyI'm getting the upgrade bug again. This has been eating me out all week so I'll ask to see what others think.
I'm currently running N805 with a velodyne spl1000r sub in a small room for stereo only (3x4m).
Wondering if upgrading to 804S and no sub for stereo will be worth...-

by lazimeHi,
Does anyone using B&W with Velodyne? Do you customize Velodyne crossover frequency?
My setup using B&W 703, Velodyne DD15, Marantz SR18. Marantz does not say anything about its own LFE crossover frequency.
Thanks-

by SF_VR6So my CM7s are almost 1 month old.
I am using a very nice Marantz AVR pushing these main and center.
The AVR is the SR7001 pushing 110wpc.
My CM7s are spec'd to handle up to 150wpc on the mains.
Am I underpowering these babies?
Being very new...-

by ColtraneLaneRotel for CM7s
I've been looking for a integrated/receiver to power a pair of B&W CM7s for a while now.
Exclusively 2 channel. Music is of upmost importance. Computer audio (need a DAC) and vinyl (already have a phono pre-amp). I'll run my TV though the amp, but I honestly...-
