    Wire relocation question

    Hello guys,

Just wanted to ask you experts if its a better way to have the power wire and speaker wires mounted away from each other, my audio stores suggest me do not zip tie them all together because it might have interference from each other. any suggestions?

Even more important is to keep all your interconnect cable away from the power - espescially the sub woofer cable.

Although audio cables are somewhat shielded, it is never ideal to have audio or video cables run next to power cables.

At least 6 inches of space inbetween is usually recommended if power and audio/video cables are run in parallel. But if this can not be avoided, the audio or video cables should be crossed and run with power cables perpendicularly never parallel.

I agree with all of the above, keep them apart. Although some cables are very well shielded there is no use taking the chance.

Thoughts on zip ties, and cables
              by Bob Santos
My HT is down for the next week while I wait for my new Pre/Pro. I am going to take advantage of
the down time to tidy up the mess behind my system. I think I read a whileback that it is not a good idea to zip tie cables together. I think something about getting cross talk between the cables....

              Radio Shack 12 gauge wire
              by John Holmes
I went yesterday to purchase some wire. After building my new Flexi, some minor room arrangement was in order.

I needed a longer wire to make the run to my recent new sub. I was using Monster XP because I had it already. But since I needed a longer length, I decided to go with a heavier...

Best way to wire for surrounds?
              by JaxLax
I've started into my MicroStatement build and am back to contemplating mounting and wiring.

The room has a second floor above it, so I'd have to fish the wire through the joists. Not sure the best way to do it or accomplish, so I'm here.
There's also the option of running it...

How to wire 6 AE IB15s?
              by PoorboyMike
Is there any decent way to wire up 6 AE IB15s to run off a bridged EP2500? Or even 3 per side in stereo mode?

I'm trying to plan out my IB sub. I was originally going to go with 4 of the Fi IB18s but the way my theater is working out, I really don't have as much room as I'd like below...
