805s with Rotel RMB 1077

Has anyone paired these speaker with this amp? I currently have this amp powering 5 B&W FPMs for home theater. I was considering just changing the FL and FR to 805s since my wife and I are starting to listen to more music (low to med sound levels). Currious to know the result of this amp with these speakers.

Also what are your thoughts with having different speakers as FL and FR from the rest of the speaker in a 5.1 home theater? Would it be distracting?

I know this much...the Equity rep. was doing a "show" for our clients in our store, and had one of our theaters set up. He was using Rotel RSP1098/RDV1092/RMB1077 combo to power a 803D, HTM2D, 4 x CWMLCR8, ASW855 system (also with Runco RS1100). And it was amazing what that little amp can kick out! His demo material included movies, multichannel music and stereo. All of it sounded very very good. Rotel claimed the 1077 to be the best sounding amplifier they have ever made (this may have been said before the 1091/1092 came out). I would have to agree. Especially when you consider its size, efficiency, price, and underrated power output claims. Awesome amplifier! I just ordered the RB1072 for my PC system. I am excited!
