Marantz SR9600 & DV9600; With 803D & HTM2D?

I've been looking at the marantz SR9600 and DV9600:

Nick, imho the DV9600 is an excellent universal disc player. Not only that but it also delivers in terms of superb quality audio. I'm using it's baby brother, the DV7600 & I love it. :T

Sorry, am not able to give any opinion on the SR9600.

Yeah, after reading a few reviews on the sr9600 its good, but still is a a/v receiver, not pre/pro.

Im sure a older classe ssp30 or bryston sp1.7 would still sound better.

I have the Marantz DV 9600 8) ,and I must say it is the best purchase I have ever done ,as I have top quality SCAD, DVD-A ,and probably the best picture any DVD player could give without resorting to HDDVD or Blue Ray players. :T
This DV 9600 upscales to 1080p, and the Multi Channel function on this player is awsome. Best SCAD and DVD-A I have ever heard!!! ;x( The Redbook on this player is in par with Rotel 1072 ,and that says a lot, because you will not only have a great CD player, but also a treasure that plays SACD, DVD-A, HDCD, and the best picture on DVD-Video, so what else can you ask from the best universal player I could find in the market, and so detailed sound and extremely musical. A heavy duty, well built awsome machine. Not cheap, but you are paying for superb quality and performance. ;x(
Sorry, I am also not able to give any opinion on the SR9600. ops:

Marantz is a good factory, good produkt, in Switzerland the group B&W
delivery Marantz,B&W,Rotel,Classè.

DV9600 OK, good in Video & audio nothing to say.

SR9600 is (toghetor in Switzerland) expensive = price for a SR9600 is more
from Rotel RSP1068+RMB1075 !!!!
Price aside is a differnz world (Rotel pre-ampli and intergred)
In the past i had the same "decision/problem" a Rotel system or a new intergred system? I have decided for Rotel. IM HAPPY AND FULL SATISFY.
i don't come back.

DV 9600 is a treasure :T I have one, I listen to one ,and I find it Amazing ,and I have auditioned MANY, trust me!! :thanku:
