    Amp For 802d

I am using a Mac 402 for my fronts and biamping a Mac 207 for my rears 803D and front HTM1D my question is If I add 3 Mac 501s for the L&R and Center and run the 402 for the rear 803D is it going to be that much different? I mean they sound super sweet now and my room is 14x18

    Thanks,

From what I've read, but not from hearing on my own, the 501s are definitely better and is a noticeable upgrade from the 402s.

If you can, get them and try them out. I would bet you'd like the difference.

        803D Question
        by tah
New guy here, long time B&W believer, so hello to everyone....

Just picked up a new rig and am a combination of confused and disappointed.

Got the Mcintosh MC 402 with the C46 Preamp. Hooked up the 803D's on the 8 ohm taps, bi-wired with high quality Monster Cable....

        New 803D...WOW
        by jonnyz
well, I started off looking at 805s then went to a used pair of N803 and today brought home a pair of 803D Rosenut.

Stunning! even in my mostly empty, no carpet(yet) condo running off my Rotel 1095/1055 combo.

The shop had them hooked up to a Mac 402 and c220 tube pre...

        802D + Mac 402 connect @ 4 ohm?
        by jack d
Hey. I've got 802Ds, HTM1D, and 804Ss for surround. I've currently got an Anthem MCA 50 driving the system but am testing a Mac 402 right now for the fronts. I've attached the speaker cables to the 8 ohm posts but I wonder if I should/could attach them to the 4 ohm posts since the 802D specs say the...

        Which cables for Mac/B&W system?
        by Antonkk
I'm sure there are a lot of Mac and B&W owners over here. My set up will most likely be Mac 301-46-402 with B&W 802D or if the finances allow 301-500(solid state version)-501 with 802D. What cables should I use through out? Right now the only decent cables that I have is a pair of Shunyata Pythons...
