Is there a such thing as metal grilles?

As may remember from my earlier postings, my cat loves to scratch at the grilles on my speakers, and they've gotten to the point where they look a little ragged.

Are there aftermarket grilles like the ones on the 700 (or is it the CM) series of b&w speakers, that I could use for my 601, 604 and LCR60? I googled around a bit, but didn't find a whole lot..

I've had speakers that came with metal grilles, but if B&W doesn't provide them, you could DIY a set. You'll just have to find a source for perforated metal, cut, shape, and paint it, and attach them to your speakers.

Play heavy rock music and have it turned up loud and switched to another input. As soon as the cat starts to mark their territory by scratching switch to on. Repeat process and cat will become very leery of the speakers.

Also why even have the covers on? I have never had mine on and the only thing my cat does is jump on top of them.

Adding a metel grill would likely adversely effect dispersion and frequency response.

The Bravia I have is last years model, the XBR1. I bought it in November of 2005, and I must say I am very happy with the purchase. It isn't 1080p like the newer XBR2 and XBR3 sets, but the PQ is excellent, and I am still wowed by HD content on a regular basis

I'm not a huge fan of Sony products other than their TV sets so I had a little bit of trouble paying the premium for the set, but having seen it side by side with other LCD sets, the difference was very apparent

How do I cat proof my speakers?
              by Kyle
So, I have a new 3.5 month old kitten. I thought he was going to be ok with my speakers as he never really showed any interest in them.

..Until last night when I watched a movie. First attack he managed to destroy the tweeter on my center channel, and on the second attack he managed to...

I know this probably should go into the Cat Cables section, but I thought this would get more exposure being here. Doug, feel free to move it if you want.

              Prologue:
About 3 weeks ago I ran into a problem where my center channel speaker fell off my shelf I had it on. It was my...

              Speaker grilles & cleaning
              by rotel&energy
This is kind of a dumb question, but it popped into my head last night as I was taking the grilles off my speakers to admire them. Is there any problem w/ leaving the speaker grilles off all the time? I can't imagine that there is, except maybe more dust settling on them. I guess they may be a little...

B&W 685 grilles on vs grilles off?
              by AwArEnEsS
Do you use your B&W 685 with grilles on or off?

A few minutes ago,I have removed the grilles,I feel like the sound has become more clear but I am not sure and also it is a possibility that maybe I am just dreaming it.

Does removing the grills make a real difference?I...
